Hi, my name is Carlo Merlini
Franciolini. I
was born in Rome in 1958 and in Rome I spent my first 30 years. Now I live in a small village about 20 Km. nord of Rome called Fiano
Romano. In the photo I'm with my wife Simona and the little
Priscilla. I began my activity in Rome, in HF bands, expecially in 10 meters and
later also in all other bands.During 80's I had a lot of activity in VHF and
UHF, also in contests, with excellent results. After a period of stop, the great
HF love come back. My family house now is located in the istorical center of the town and for some
years I had a lot of difficulties to install any kind of antennas (little roof). During the summer
of the year 2000, togheter with restructuration of the build, I was able
to prepare the base on the roof for the installation of the antenna. Now I have a 12 mt tower + 5
mast on the roof with a two elements five bands Cubical Quad. All costruction ( tower
and antenna ) is homemade. I'm a fanatic of tubes and I love to use my 
4C-LINE.
I've one in perfect condition that works in wonderful way from several years. My call is listed on QRZ.COM
